2. Refund Eligibility
2.1 Eligible for Full Refund
You may be eligible for a full refund in the following circumstances:
- You cancel within 7 days of payment and before any work has commenced
- We are unable to provide the contracted services due to unforeseen circumstances
- There is a demonstrable breach of contract on our part
- Technical errors result in duplicate charges
2.2 Eligible for Partial Refund
Partial refunds may be considered if:
- Work has begun but significant deliverables remain incomplete
- You choose to cancel after the initial 7-day period but before project milestones are reached
- Services are terminated by mutual agreement with work partially completed
In such cases, the refund amount will be calculated based on completed work and deliverables provided.
2.3 Non-Refundable Services
The following are generally non-refundable:
- Completed editing, design, or formatting work
- ISBN registration fees (these are paid to government agencies)
- Printing costs for books already produced
- Distribution fees for books already distributed to retailers
- Marketing services already executed
- Custom services or rush orders specifically requested by the author
3. Cancellation Process
3.1 How to Cancel
To cancel your service agreement:
- Submit a written cancellation request to support@novelnations.com
- Include your project details, agreement number, and reason for cancellation
- Our team will review your request within 3-5 business days
- You will receive a written response regarding the cancellation and any applicable refunds
3.2 Cancellation Timelines
- 0-7 days after payment: Full refund if no work has commenced
- 8-30 days after payment: Partial refund based on work completed
- After 30 days or major milestones: Cancellation fees apply based on completed work
4. Refund Processing
Once a refund is approved:
- Refunds will be processed within 10-15 business days
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
- Bank processing times may vary (typically 5-10 business days)
- You will receive a confirmation email once the refund is processed
- Transaction fees and processing charges are non-refundable
5. Service-Specific Policies
5.1 Editing Services
Editing fees are refundable only if work has not begun. Once editors have started reviewing your manuscript, fees are non-refundable as the intellectual work has been performed.
5.2 Cover Design
Initial concept fees are refundable before designs are presented. Once you've received design concepts, the design fee becomes non-refundable, though you may request revisions as per your agreement.
5.3 Printing and Production
Once books are printed, production costs are non-refundable. However, if there are quality issues or printing errors on our part, we will reprint at no additional cost.
5.4 ISBN and Legal Services
ISBN registration fees and copyright filing fees are paid to government agencies and are non-refundable once processed.
6. Quality Guarantee
We stand behind the quality of our work. If you're not satisfied with our services:
- Contact us within 14 days of receiving deliverables
- Provide specific feedback about the issues
- We will work to resolve the concerns at no additional cost
- If we cannot meet your expectations after reasonable revisions, we may issue a partial refund
7. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or inability to perform services due to circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, or technical failures. In such cases, we will work with you to find a suitable solution, which may include rescheduling or refunds at our discretion.
